Sport and Level: Varsity Swimming    

Years Playing: 8

Favorite Moment in a Meet: “When I won fourth in the 100 breaststroke at Junior Olympics when I was 12; it was my first large meet.”

Inspiration: “I’m inspired by all of the people in the sport around me and all of my teammates and coaches who motivate me. The people who inspire me the most are my two coaches from club swim, Ed [Carrera] and Sebastian [Córdoba].”

Motivation: “I swim because it is a great way to handle stress, and I can also stay in shape while doing so. I am pushed by my goal of the Olympic trials.”

Finding Balance: “Even though my grades aren’t to my expectations right now, I handle piano and swim along with schoolwork by setting a schedule and making sure I get to bed by 10 p.m. every day.”
