Laughing behind rows of handmade pipe cleaner flower bouquets, sophomore Nikita Kulkarni sells her creations at an Orange County South Asian Student Association event. “I love being creative,” Kulkarni said. “It just takes me away from all the pressure that school causes me, and it’s an outlet for me during my free time.”

In April, sophomore Jaspreet Ryalee Multani led a care-bag decorating event for the Orange County Rescue Mission through Impact Circle, a nonprofit founded by Ryalee Multani and her brother, senior Ishaan Multani. “When we grew up, our parents instilled values of being charitable and doing stuff without getting anything in return,” Ishaan Multani said. “So I think that like philosophy really drove us to want to create things or create a nonprofit to help aid other people.”
