Homemade Apple Cider

Here are the ingredients to make homemade apple cider.

Apple cider is commonly associated with Thanksgiving, a great drink for this upcoming holiday. This recipe will warm your heart and touch your soul as the simple flavors remind you of family and friends.

Ingredients

2 liters of apple juice

3 sticks of cinnamon

1 teaspoon freshly ground cinnamon

1 orange

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 teaspoon of minced cloves (optional)

Directions

  1. Slice unpeeled orange into thirds and put in any sized pot.
  2. Pour apple juice into the same pot and add sticks of cinnamon, ground nutmeg, minced cloves (optional).
  3. Add ground cinnamon.
  4. Heat up apple cider on medium heat and stir constantly for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Let apple cider cool overnight in fridge.
  6. Strain and collect the liquid cider  using a strainer and collect the cider from the pot.
  7. If needed, reheat before serving for 10 minutes.

Enjoy with pride as you have now finished your delicious apple cider. Good for one week to two weeks.
