Upon entering Spanish teacher Kari Tubbs’ classroom, it is impossible to ignore the bright assortment of posters, photographs and artwork that cover nearly every inch of her walls. “Students tell me that they like it; they like that they come in and it’s colorful, they like that they come in and see different things, and there’s stuff to look at,” Tubbs said. “They get to know me through what I put up. That’s why I’ll just keep doing it.”
