Do Their Zodiac Signs Make These Teachers Compatible?
From fiery and ambitious Leos to grounded and hardworking Virgos, zodiac signs and their characteristics seem too accurate to be based on coincidence, which makes them a trending conversation topic among many, including multiple teachers at Portola High.
Fire signs like Aries and Leos tend to be aggressive, but also passionate, motivated and confident leaders. Though both signs can be very headstrong and stubborn, they make a perfect match when it comes to friendships and relationships.
Do Their Zodiac Signs Make These Teachers Compatible?
“I’m headstrong, determined and [have] righteous leadership qualities,” Aries and spanish teacher Kari Tubbs said. “I like to be in charge.”
Due to their very similar personalities, Leos and Aries balance each other out well. The two signs are very compatible in terms of intellect, communication and trust.
“Outside of the classroom, I do not love to be the center of attention, but in the classroom I demand it,” Leo and spanish teacher Emmi Kohout said. “Don’t tell anyone else, but I can have a big ego about what I know about teaching.”
As for Tauruses, like social studies teacher Shameemah Motala, and Libras, like social studies teacher Katie Wi, the earth and air signs are more characteristically laid back, idealistic and loyal.
“I know what my sign is, and I know the meaning of my sign, and it’s like spot on,” Motala said.
Although most do agree with the traits of their sign, some may think they fit another sign better, like the more passionate and thoughtful water signs: Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer.
“[If I had to be another sign] maybe a Scorpio? I know they have a lot of anger sometimes.” Motala said.
Both Tauruses and Libras ambition for life is what makes them so compatible with each other. Their constant need to strive and rise above the rest is what makes this pairing work so perfectly.
“Interestingly, when I first came to Portola, Ms. Schottland, who also teaches social studies… asked me ‘What’s your zodiac sign?’ and I told her I was a Libra, and she told me all about myself, and I was like ‘You are spot on, that’s exactly right,’ and that kind of piqued my interest,” Wi said.
As demonstrated with Motala and Wi, the best aspect of a friendship between a Taurus and a Libra is the love of art, beauty and culture. Both signs adore the aesthetics and finer things in life.
“You just summarized our friendship,” Motala said.
For others, their relationships and day-to-day lives are far removed from the influence of the zodiac, like with science teacher Michael Tang.
“I don’t think the month and day you are born has any bearing on your personality or compatibility with another person,” Tang said.
Although Tang may not believe in zodiac sign compatibility, he agrees he is compatible with science teacher Anthony Pham. Coincidentally or not, their signs, Virgo and Pisces respectively are known to be compatible.
“We both like eating food and enjoy ‘Star Wars’, so I’d say we are compatible,” Tang said.
