After donning a fedora and playing a solo during Jazz 1’s performance of “Seven Steps to Heaven” by Miles Davis, Lee said he wanted the underclassmen to make the most of their time here. “If you have an opportunity to solo or do anything that makes you stand out, just go for it,” Lee said. “You might be nervous, but you’re not going to regret what happens since you might mess up, but it’s going to be memorable.”
