Behind the Scenes: Choreography Makes the Vocal Concert “Pop”
Seniors Jeff Hwang, Aryan Dahiya and Kori Martinez and junior Julian Aguilar perform choreography to “Beat It” by Michael Jackson while the rest of the Portola Singers simultaneously dance and sing in the background. “For medley songs like the Michael Jackson medley, we would do each song individually because it was arranged by one of our voice coaches,” Chau said. “So he would just send us the songs, and we would learn each of them individually and then we would put them together.”
