Haruka is a staff writer on the Portola Pilot and a part of the social media team. She is thrilled to be able to work with the Pilot to showcase the best parts of Portola and constantly discover new aspects of the school. For Haruka, journalism is a way for her to stay connected to the world and with others.  Aside from journalism, Haruka is a part of the school's Dance Company, and is passionate about social activism. She also loves traveling, looking at art, eating sweets, and reading a good romance novel.
